The story hinges on Sofiane, the son of a former Algerian diplomat, who has spent his entire life abroad. Today, he is a student in Lyon, but he falls victim to an administrative decision and lives under the constant threat of deportation. In the hope of rectifying the situation, he resolves to temp at a Muslim undertaker’s. Lost in his own identity and uncomfortable in his own skin, rubbing shoulders with the dead will prove to be a tempting path for him.
